A curved top rail frames an openwork backrest carved with swirling scrolls, and each arm ends in a rolled scroll shape.

Rustic Lines Up Close

The backrest is cut all the way through rather than left as a solid panel, so the swirling pattern reads as lace-like openwork rather than applied carving. Each arm finishes in a tight rolled scroll, echoing the curls carved into the backrest above it, and the plank seat sits on a softly curved apron with four shaped legs below. Every surface keeps its natural, slightly uneven grain, giving the piece the settled look of a log bench that has been carved by hand rather than machined.

Solid Wood And Finish

Build: solid natural wood

Finish: hand-finished to show the natural grain and warm texture; available in four tones, Oak, Brown, Walnut and Black, at one price, only size changes the price

Every size is 14 inches deep and 32 inches high overall at the backrest

Styling Ideas

The carved backrest makes a classic entry piece wherever a front-facing seat is wanted.

Front porch beside the entry door

Hallway wall opposite a staircase

Foot of the bed in a bedroom

Garden path or patio corner

Entryway for a carved first impression

Figures and other decor in the photos are styling only and not included.
