Our Artisan Sculptural Console Table With Twisting X Base For Entryway rests a slim slab top on a carved base whose limbs cross and twist into a flowing X, turning a modern console table into the first thing you notice when you walk in.

The Sculptural Look

The top is a slim, straight slab, left plain so the base underneath carries the design. That base is carved from solid wood into limbs that cross and twist as they travel down, reaching out to long, low feet on either end. The twisting shape reads almost like driftwood smoothed by water, even though it is carved to form rather than found. Every curve of the X flows into the next, giving the piece real sculptural weight without a single straight leg.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!
