A fully reeded, fluted front face runs the length of our Contemporary Fluted Floating Console Shelf With Hidden Drawer For Living Room, a floating shelf with drawer storage tucked beneath a smooth solid-wood top.

Mid Century Form And Detail

Softly rounded ends and a slim, concealed drawer front keep the vertical reeding as the main visual line, giving this modern floating shelf a tactile, retro character instead of a flat panel. It works as an entryway console for keys, books and a bowl while the wall bracket stays completely out of sight.

What fits in the drawer?
It is a slim drawer inside a 5"-tall shelf — made for keys, sunglasses, letters, chargers and small notebooks.
Will the bracket show?
No. It mounts behind the shelf, so from the front you see only the fluted wood.
Is everything in the photos included?
Only the shelf is sold. Mirrors, vases, plants, books and decor are styling.
How do I care for the fluting?
Dust the grooves with a soft dry brush or cloth; avoid wet cleaners and long hours of direct sun.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

Are the colours exactly as shown in the photos?

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
Do you offer customisation?

Yes. Size, finish and fixing position can be adjusted on most pieces. Send us the dimensions you need and we will confirm the price and lead time before you order.
How should I care for the piece?

Dust with a dry, soft cloth and wipe spills away promptly. Avoid harsh cleaners, standing water, and long spells in direct sun or next to a heat source. A wood conditioner once or twice a year keeps the finish even.
