Skip the bedside table for something sculptural instead: our Organic Mushroom Floating Shelf With Curved Stem For Bedroom is a small floating shelf carved with a wide oval cap and a single curved stem. Fine gill lines run across the underside of the cap, while the stem tapers down and disappears into the wall. Hung beside the bed, it holds a cup, a book or a small plant within easy reach.

Organic Modern Form And Detail

The cap keeps a softly wavy rim rather than a perfect oval, and the carved gill lines underneath add real texture to a surface most floating shelves leave flat. A single curved stem carries all of that weight, tapering as it reaches the wall so the whole shelf looks like it is growing out from the plaster rather than bolted on. Sized for one or two bedside objects rather than a full display run, it keeps the nightstand clutter-free.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
