A single slender stem rises from the back of a round seat and splits into tall branching antlers in our Organic Branching Antler Dining Chair With Slender Stem Back For Dining Room, among the more unusual wood carved dining chairs available. Each tine is carved and smoothed by hand.

Sculptural Form And Detail

Because the back starts as one narrow stem before it forks upward, the chair reads as airy from the front, with the branching detail only becoming the focal point once you step around to the back. Four splayed legs give it a poised, light-footed stance, so despite the tall carved back the chair never feels heavy at the head of a table.

The sculptural backs are shaped from solid wood rather than bent plywood, and the seats are contoured so you sit into the chair, not on top of it.

Wipe with a damp cloth, dry straight away, and re-oil occasionally. Felt pads protect hard floors.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

It was so much fun to watch, and it made me appreciate the table and the work behind it even more. Are the colours exactly as shown in the photos?

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
Do you offer customisation?

Yes. Size, finish and fixing position can be adjusted on most pieces. Send us the dimensions you need and we will confirm the price and lead time before you order.
How should I care for the piece?
