Our Sculptural Corner Tree Bookshelf With Three Tier L Shelves For Living Room is built as a tree corner bookshelf and a seat at once: a twisting trunk rises straight out of an L-shaped bench and branches into three tiers of shelves that wrap the corner. It turns a wasted room corner into a reading nook you can sit in.

Sculptural Lines Up Close

The trunk twists as it climbs, throwing out antler-like side branches before settling into three stacked tiers of L-shaped shelving that trace the two walls. Open bays under the bench seat hold more books, so storage runs from floor to the top shelf. The bench, trunk and branches read as one carved form rather than separate furniture pieces, which is what makes this corner bookshelf feel like a sculpture you can use.

Material And Craft

  • Build: solid natural wood, cut, shaped and hand-finished to order so the grain and knots on yours are one of a kind
  • Finish: hand-finished to show the natural grain and warm texture; available in four tones, Oak, Brown, Walnut and Black, at one price, only size changes the price
  • Sizes are W and D along each wall, H is floor to top; shelves are about 16" deep, and it is secured to both walls

A twisting trunk grows up out of an L-shaped bench and carries three L-shaped shelves that wrap the corner. Short antler-like branches reach out from the sides between the tiers.

Open bays under the seat

The bench stands on carved root-like supports, leaving open bays below for stacks of books. On top, there is room to perch with a book or set down a basket.

It runs 30 inches along each wall and stands 70 inches tall, with shelves about 16 inches deep.

    Measure both walls from the corner and check 70 inches of height.

    Slide the L shape tight into the corner so both backs touch the walls.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

Are the colours exactly as shown in the photos?

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
Do you offer customisation?
