Our Handcrafted Driftwood Console Table With Single Trunk Base For Entryway rises from one driftwood trunk that splits into angled branches beneath a narrow live-edge slab, a live edge console table with a single sculptural support.

The Rustic Driftwood Look

A single trunk rises from its roots and splits partway up into angled branches that spread out to support the narrow live-edge top. Because there is only one base rather than two, most of the floor underneath stays open, which is useful for tucking a basket or a folded throw out of sight. The live edge along the top is left exactly as the wood grew, so the outline is never perfectly straight. Every branch angle is a little different from the next, which is part of what makes the piece feel handcrafted rather than mass-produced.

  • Wood: solid natural wood, shaped and hand-finished to order so the grain, knots and color shifts on yours will be one of a kind
  • Finish: hand-finished to show the natural grain and warm texture; available in four tones, Oak, Brown, Walnut and Black, at one price, only size changes the price
  • Height is measured from the floor to the top surface, about 30"; depth is about 12", and anchoring the back edge to the wall is recommended for the long overhang

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

One of the most special parts of this experience was being able to watch the entire process, from the original rough walnut planks, to seeing them shaped and sanded, and finally to seeing the finished table in my home. It was so much fun to watch, and it made me appreciate the table and the work behind it even more. This is not simply a piece of furniture-it is truly a one-of-a-kind work of art that feels personal and special. Our family will gather around it, enjoy it, and admire it for many years to come. Are the colours exactly as shown in the photos?

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
Do you offer customisation?

Yes. Size, finish and fixing position can be adjusted on most pieces. Send us the dimensions you need and we will confirm the price and lead time before you order.
