A rounded pedestal of two deep drawers anchors one end of our Elegant Curved Pedestal Makeup Vanity With 2 Drawers For Bedroom, while a flat slab panel closes the other, making this modern makeup vanity read softer on one side than the other.

A rounded pedestal with nothing to grab

The two drawers in the pedestal open by a finger groove cut under each front, so there are no knobs breaking up the curve. A slim top runs from the pedestal to a flat end panel and leaves a clear opening for a stool.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

It was so much fun to watch, and it made me appreciate the table and the work behind it even more. Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.

How is the timber treated?
