Two beams, no shelf, no drawer

A bench cut from heavy timber

A thick rectangular-beam seat sits straight across two equally chunky beam legs, with no shelf or drawer to interrupt the solid block shape. The surface keeps its checks and knots, so the bench reads as one solid piece of timber rather than a built-up frame.

The legs sit in from the ends

Each leg is set back slightly from the edge of the seat, so the beam overhangs a little on both sides. That inset keeps the stance sturdy while leaving the long top edge looking continuous, checks and all.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
Do you offer customisation?

Yes. Size, finish and fixing position can be adjusted on most pieces. Send us the dimensions you need and we will confirm the price and lead time before you order.
How should I care for the piece?
