Our Organic Live Edge Floating Desk With Wall Mounted Slab For Home Office is a single thick live edge wood desk mounted flat against the wall, its natural edge facing the room and its back cut straight. With no legs to work around, it tucks under a window or into a nook and keeps the floor completely clear for a chair.

The Rustic Slab Look

At about 3 inches thick, the slab has visible heft even though it floats on hidden brackets rather than legs. The live edge runs the full length of the front, so the grain figure and the outline both stay true to the piece of wood it came from. It is sized small enough to fit a space-saving corner while still giving a real work surface.

  • Finish: hand-finished to show the grain and edge; four shades available, Oak, Brown, Walnut and Black, at one price, only size changes the price

Height: about 3 inches thick on every size; mount it at the height you prefer, about 29 to 30 inches for a standard desk. Hidden wall brackets are included for fixing into studs.

It mounts into studs or anchors with the brackets supplied; fix into studs for a desk you lean on. The writing desk stands on its own legs.
What height should it be?
Most people work best with the top around 29–30" from the floor; set a floating desk wherever suits your chair.
How do I care for the top?
Wipe with a damp cloth, use a mat under hot drinks and re-oil now and then.
Do the four tones cost the same?
Yes — Black, Brown, Walnut and Oak are one price; only the size changes it.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

Are the colours exactly as shown in the photos?

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
Do you offer customisation?

Yes. Size, finish and fixing position can be adjusted on most pieces. Send us the dimensions you need and we will confirm the price and lead time before you order.
How should I care for the piece?
