A thick live-edge slab rolls into waves and curls across the top of the headboard on our Handcrafted Live Edge Wooden Bed Frame With Sculpted Headboard For Bedroom, and the same rough, wavy edge continues along the deep side rails and low footboard. Thick square legs at each corner give this rustic wood bed frame a heavy, cabin-built stance.

Rustic Form And Detail

The headboard's top line never repeats the same curve twice, rolling and curling the way a natural edge would rather than in an even pattern, and that same uneven line is carried down into the rails rather than stopping at the headboard. The footboard stays low, so the wavy rail line is visible along the whole length of the bed. Thick, square-cut legs anchor each corner without any taper or carving.

The headboard is a thick slab whose upper edge breaks into waves, hooks and curls, higher on one side and dipping in the middle. Pale and dark streaks run through the grain, so it reads almost like a carving of hills.

The same rough, wavy edge carries on along the deep rails and the low footboard.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

It was so much fun to watch, and it made me appreciate the table and the work behind it even more. Are the colours exactly as shown in the photos?

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
Do you offer customisation?
