Bold, figured grain runs the length of our Japandi Live Edge Floating Computer Desk With Tapered Edge For Bedroom, a wood slab desk whose wavy front edge tapers in toward one end instead of staying a uniform width. Hung flat on the wall, it tucks neatly beside a window or a bed where floor space is tight.

The Japandi Look

The tapering edge gives the slab a quiet sense of motion without adding any extra ornament, so the overall mood stays restrained instead of busy. Grain figure is left fully exposed across the surface, so the wood itself supplies all the visual interest the desk needs. At a slim profile with no legs, it suits a room where restraint matters more than storage.

It mounts into studs or anchors with the brackets supplied; fix into studs for a desk you lean on. The writing desk stands on its own legs.
What height should it be?
Most people work best with the top around 29–30" from the floor; set a floating desk wherever suits your chair.
How do I care for the top?
Wipe with a damp cloth, use a mat under hot drinks and re-oil now and then.
Do the four tones cost the same?
Yes — Black, Brown, Walnut and Oak are one price; only the size changes it.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

One of the most special parts of this experience was being able to watch the entire process, from the original rough walnut planks, to seeing them shaped and sanded, and finally to seeing the finished table in my home. It was so much fun to watch, and it made me appreciate the table and the work behind it even more. This is not simply a piece of furniture-it is truly a one-of-a-kind work of art that feels personal and special. Our family will gather around it, enjoy it, and admire it for many years to come. Are the colours exactly as shown in the photos?

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
Do you offer customisation?

Yes. Size, finish and fixing position can be adjusted on most pieces. Send us the dimensions you need and we will confirm the price and lead time before you order.
How should I care for the piece?
