Soft, flowing grain follows a gentle curve across the front of our Japandi Live Edge Corner Shelf With Soft Flowing Grain For Living Room, a quiet japandi corner shelf cut to sit flush into two walls. Shown here stacked as a set of three, each slab keeps the same calm, pared-back profile with nothing extra on the face.

Japandi Lines Up Close

Each shelf is one flat slab, square where it meets the two walls and softened into a natural curved front edge along the open side, with the plain surface and visible wood grain kept free of any trim or hardware. Stacked in a column, the shelves repeat the same flowing edge at each level rather than varying the shape, which keeps the wall composition simple. Every piece, bought alone or as part of a set, keeps the same roughly 2 inch thickness so proportions stay consistent top to bottom.

Material And Craft

  • Material: solid natural wood
  • Finish: hand-finished to show the natural grain and warm texture; available in four tones, Oak, Brown, Walnut and Black, at one price, only size changes the price

Height: about 2" thick, the same for every size. Width is the arm along the left wall and depth the arm along the right wall. Hidden wall brackets are included; fix them into studs or proper wall anchors. Books, plants and decor in the photos are styling only.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

One of the most special parts of this experience was being able to watch the entire process, from the original rough walnut planks, to seeing them shaped and sanded, and finally to seeing the finished table in my home. It was so much fun to watch, and it made me appreciate the table and the work behind it even more. This is not simply a piece of furniture-it is truly a one-of-a-kind work of art that feels personal and special. Our family will gather around it, enjoy it, and admire it for many years to come. Are the colours exactly as shown in the photos?

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
Do you offer customisation?

Yes. Size, finish and fixing position can be adjusted on most pieces. Send us the dimensions you need and we will confirm the price and lead time before you order.
How should I care for the piece?
