A thick slab keeps its natural live edge along the front and back on our Live Edge Slab Console Table With Solid Panel Legs For Entryway, a live edge entryway table built on two simple panel legs. The legs are cut from the same wood and set in straight away from the ends, so the slab and its raw edge stay the focus. It sits well as a rustic console table in a hallway or entry.

Rustic Form And Detail

The top is a single thick slab, its natural live edge left uncut along both long sides so the outline of the original board stays visible. Two solid panel legs, cut from the same wood, carry the slab with no apron or stretcher between them, keeping the lines simple and narrow. With nothing carved or shaped beyond the live edge itself, this live edge console table lets the grain running through the panel legs and across the slab do all the work.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

One of the most special parts of this experience was being able to watch the entire process, from the original rough walnut planks, to seeing them shaped and sanded, and finally to seeing the finished table in my home. It was so much fun to watch, and it made me appreciate the table and the work behind it even more. This is not simply a piece of furniture-it is truly a one-of-a-kind work of art that feels personal and special. Our family will gather around it, enjoy it, and admire it for many years to come. Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
