Product Details

Two thick solid wood slabs stack one over the other in our Modern Two Tier Solid Wood Coffee Table With Open Lower Deck For Living Room. The recessed blocks between the slabs leave an open lower deck, giving this modern coffee table a clean, stacked shape with real storage built in.

Modern Minimalist Lines Up Close

Both slabs are cut as true squares, with the top slab set directly over the bottom one and a visible gap held open by short blocks at the center. That gap works as a low shelf for books, trays or magazines, while the deep edges of each slab show off the flowing grain from every side. The straight lines and stacked form keep this square wood coffee table's silhouette simple and architectural rather than decorative.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

It was so much fun to watch, and it made me appreciate the table and the work behind it even more. Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
