Product Details

A thick solid upper drum rests on a wider lower drum on our Modern Round Coffee Table With Stepped Oval Cutout Base For Living Room, a round coffee table built in two stepped, sculptural volumes rather than on legs. The step between the two drums gives the whole piece a soft, layered profile, like a carved cake.

Sculptural Form And Detail

The lower drum is pierced all the way around with a ring of rounded oval cutouts, evenly spaced so the base reads as sculpture as much as support. As a modern wood coffee table, the flat top holds books, a vase and cups with ease, while the round base underneath keeps the piece solid and steady. Five sizes are offered, from a compact 22-inch version up to a 42-inch table for a larger seating group.

Size note: height is measured from the floor to the tabletop; the table is round, so width and depth are the same diameter. Dust with a soft dry cloth, use coasters under hot or wet cups and keep it out of harsh direct heat so the solid wood stays stable.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

Are the colours exactly as shown in the photos?

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
Do you offer customisation?
