A thick trunk curves gently as it rises from an oval base in our Playful Standing Kids Tree Bookshelf With Solid Base For Nursery, with short branches carrying rounded shelves on both sides from knee height up to the crown. It's a tree bookshelf built at kid scale, so picture books can face out at a height little hands can reach. One size covers the whole nursery wall.

Shape And Organic Modern Character

The trunk never goes straight up: it leans and curves the way a young tree does, and the shelves branch off at staggered heights rather than lining up in neat rows. The oval base at the bottom doubles as its own low shelf, wide enough for a basket of toys or a line of shoes. As a kid-scale bookshelf it's sized to let a child reach the lower branches alone while the upper ones stay for frames and keepsakes.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
