Our Rustic Root Base Bathroom Vanity With Live Edge Top spreads a gnarled trunk into a ring of root feet at the floor, then opens into branches that carry a thick top with a wavy live edge running all the way around. It is a rustic bathroom vanity where the root structure does as much work as the top it holds.

Rustic Root Base Form And Detail

At the floor, the trunk splits into several root-like feet that spread out and anchor the piece, each one following its own natural line rather than a repeated pattern. Moving up, the trunk narrows into branches that fan out to meet the underside of the top, carrying the weight on a handful of contact points instead of straight legs. The top itself keeps its full live edge on every side, so the wavy outline wraps the whole slab rather than just the front. Together, the spreading root feet and the all-around live edge make this a clear rustic bathroom vanity rather than a simple pedestal stand.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
