Product Details

Set at the center of a grand hall, our Organic Solid Wood Round Foyer Table With Carved Tulip Pedestal is a large round entry table built for scale. Its curved, lobed pedestal flares open under the top like a tulip in bloom, giving an organic modern shape instead of a plain post leg. The round plinth base keeps the tall column steady under a heavy top.

The Organic Modern Look

The pedestal is carved from a single thick column of wood, pinching in at the waist before curving back out into four rounded, flared lobes that cradle the underside of the top. Every curve is sanded soft, with no hard edges or flat panels, so the grain wraps continuously from the plinth to the top. It stands on a wide, round plinth that spreads the load evenly, which is why the design scales up to a 47" top without feeling top-heavy. The rounded, flowing lines read as organic modern rather than traditional pedestal design, and a round pedestal foyer table like this one works as a true architectural centerpiece.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
Do you offer customisation?

Yes. Size, finish and fixing position can be adjusted on most pieces. Send us the dimensions you need and we will confirm the price and lead time before you order.
How should I care for the piece?
