Two slab legs angle slightly outward beneath our Farmhouse Console Table With Plank Legs For Entryway, a rustic farmhouse console table that lets one thick plank top carry the whole design. The natural edge along the top keeps the piece honest to the wood, with no extra carving to distract from the grain.

Rustic Plank Leg Lines Up Close

The top is a thick, single plank with a softly natural edge along its length, so the live grain lines show without being sanded flat. Two slab legs sit in from each end and lean out just slightly, giving the piece a sturdy, almost trestle-like stance. There is no apron, drawer or shelf to interrupt the lines, just plank, legs and open floor space beneath for a basket or stack of books. It keeps the structure plain and the material the whole focus, true to a rustic farmhouse console table built for everyday use.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
