A thick natural slab top with irregular wavy live edges tops our Rustic Live Edge Console Table With Forked Tree Trunk Base For Entryway, true to its name as a live edge console table. One sculpted trunk carries the whole piece, rising from two spreading root feet and forking into two thick limbs that reach up under the top in a Y shape. The base reads like a piece of standalone wood sculpture as much as a support.

Shape And Rustic Live Edge Character

This is a rustic console table built around a single carved trunk rather than four legs, so the structure underneath draws as much attention as the top. The fork splits just below the surface into two limbs that angle outward and meet the underside of the slab, echoing the branching shape of a real tree. Because each top keeps its natural edge, the outline varies slightly from piece to piece, with small knots and figure unique to every table. Set against a wall, it works as an entryway console table or a narrow sofa table behind seating.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

It was so much fun to watch, and it made me appreciate the table and the work behind it even more. Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?
