Our Organic Oval Coffee Table With Flowing Ribbon Base For Living Room carries a smooth oval top on a single ribbon of wood that sweeps down, along the floor and back up, making it an oval wood coffee table and a modern coffee table shaped by one continuous wave.

Organic Modern Form And Detail

Instead of separate legs, one ribbon of solid wood forms the entire base, flowing from under the top down to the floor and back up on the opposite side. The deep curve leaves open space beneath the top that reads differently depending on where you stand in the room. Grain lines travel the full length of the ribbon, carrying the eye from one end of the table to the other. Paired with the smooth oval top, the flowing base gives this natural wood coffee table a calm, organic modern feel.

An oval top on a single sweep of wood

There are no legs here. A single band of solid wood drops from one end of the oval top, runs along the floor and curls back up to hold the other end. From the sofa you see the top; from the doorway you see the wave.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
Do you offer customisation?

Yes. Size, finish and fixing position can be adjusted on most pieces. Send us the dimensions you need and we will confirm the price and lead time before you order.
