Our Driftwood Root Accent Table With Lower Shelf For Living Room is a rustic wood coffee table built on a weathered, driftwood-style trunk that twists its way down to the floor.

The Rustic Look

Two cloud-shaped step shelves branch off the trunk at different heights, each one a stopping point for a plant, a book or a candle before the trunk continues down. The shelves extend slightly beyond the round top above them, so the whole piece widens gently from top to bottom instead of standing straight. Overall sizes run from 15 to 25 inches wide and 20 to 25 inches tall, with the twisting trunk shaped a little differently at every size.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

It was so much fun to watch, and it made me appreciate the table and the work behind it even more. This is not simply a piece of furniture-it is truly a one-of-a-kind work of art that feels personal and special. Our family will gather around it, enjoy it, and admire it for many years to come. Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
