Our Artisan Tree Bookshelf With Live Edge Slab Shelves For Living Room is a live edge bookcase built around a driftwood-style trunk: it climbs from a long live-edge base slab and throws its branches to one side, carrying shelves that step up the wall.

Rustic Live Edge Lines Up Close

Every shelf keeps its natural, uneven live edge instead of a straight-cut front, and the base slab underneath repeats that same raw outline, tying the whole rustic bookshelf together. The twisting trunk leans off to one side rather than running straight up, so the piece reads more like a found branch than a built unit.

Every shelf keeps its edge

The shelves are cut with their natural edge left on, so each one has its own outline and thickness. Books stand on the flat middle; plants, bowls and candles fill the uneven ends.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

It was so much fun to watch, and it made me appreciate the table and the work behind it even more. Are the colours exactly as shown in the photos?

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
Do you offer customisation?

Yes. Size, finish and fixing position can be adjusted on most pieces. Send us the dimensions you need and we will confirm the price and lead time before you order.
How should I care for the piece?
