Our Contemporary Live Edge Floating Bathroom Vanity With Long Slab Top spans the wall in one thick, straight run, a modern wood bath vanity with its front face left natural so the grain shows across the full width.

Shape And Minimalist Character

Ripples and swirling grain move across the long slab top, which stays flat and wide enough to hold a basin with room for towels and a soap tray on either side. The clean, rectangular outline and the unbroken natural edge keep the look quiet and uncluttered, closer to a modern bathroom vanity than a heavily carved one. Nothing about the shape competes with the grain, which is left to do the work.

Solid Wood And Finish

  • The slab is about 2" thick at every width; the live edge varies a little from piece to piece, and faucet and drain cut-outs are planned with your plumber

Swirling grain across the front

A long straight slab with a natural face

This counter is cut straight end to end, but its front face is left natural, so the swirls and ripples of the grain run the full width like a carved frieze. The flat top fits a wide basin with towels on one side and a soap tray on the other.

Is the lit wall shelf part of it?
No. The glowing shelf above the mirror line is not part of this listing, nor are the basin, faucet, mirror or decor.
How is it fixed?
It mounts to the wall. Plan the faucet and drain cut-outs with your plumber.
Will the ripples look like the photos?
The style will, but grain, knots and edge vary a little from piece to piece.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

One of the most special parts of this experience was being able to watch the entire process, from the original rough walnut planks, to seeing them shaped and sanded, and finally to seeing the finished table in my home. It was so much fun to watch, and it made me appreciate the table and the work behind it even more. This is not simply a piece of furniture-it is truly a one-of-a-kind work of art that feels personal and special. Our family will gather around it, enjoy it, and admire it for many years to come. Are the colours exactly as shown in the photos?

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
Do you offer customisation?

Yes. Size, finish and fixing position can be adjusted on most pieces. Send us the dimensions you need and we will confirm the price and lead time before you order.
How should I care for the piece?

Dust with a dry, soft cloth and wipe spills away promptly. Avoid harsh cleaners, standing water, and long spells in direct sun or next to a heat source. A wood conditioner once or twice a year keeps the finish even.
