Our Organic Burl Edge Floating Bathroom Vanity With Live Edge Top is a rustic wood vanity with a flat counter and a front edge left completely wild, full of knobs, ridges and burl-like swellings.

Rustic Live Edge Lines Up Close

The front edge runs the full width of the slab in rough, uneven texture, while the top stays level and shows warm, even grain by contrast, so the two faces of the same piece feel almost like two different materials. As a live edge bathroom vanity, every knot and swelling along the front is unplanned and unrepeatable. It hangs flat on the wall with nothing below it but open air, keeping the burl edge as the clear focal point.

Smooth top, wild front

Knobs and ridges along a calm counter

The top of this counter is smooth with warm, flowing grain. The front edge is the opposite: knobs, ridges and burl-like swellings run its full width and throw small shadows in side light.

Up close on the gnarled edge

Look along the front and you will see swellings and hollows where the wood grew around old knots. Because the front is natural, the depth shifts a little along the piece.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

Are the colours exactly as shown in the photos?

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
Do you offer customisation?

Yes. Size, finish and fixing position can be adjusted on most pieces. Send us the dimensions you need and we will confirm the price and lead time before you order.
How should I care for the piece?
