Sculpted end panels curve in and out like an hourglass on our Handmade Curved Console Table With Open Shelves For Living Room, a modern console table built for a wall that needs presence. Two open shelves and a solid base shelf sit under a thick top, giving the silhouette a calm, flowing rhythm. It reads as a curved entryway table just as easily as it anchors a room.

The Organic Modern Look

The curve is the whole design: each end panel sweeps in and then back out, framing two open shelves before meeting a solid base shelf near the floor. There are no straight legs or hardware to break the line, so the grain runs continuously from top to base. The open shelving under a thick top keeps the look light even though the form is substantial, making it a console table with storage that still reads as sculpture.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

It was so much fun to watch, and it made me appreciate the table and the work behind it even more. Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
