Our Industrial Burl Edge Floating Bathroom Vanity Set With Lower Plank Shelf is a rustic vanity bathroom set of two matching wood pieces: a thick floating top with a deep burl edge, plus a plank shelf on black metal legs below it.

Rustic Live Edge Form And Detail

The floating top carries the deepest burl texture, its edge rolling in heavy swells along the front, while the lower plank shelf repeats the same live edge in a smaller, free-standing piece for towels. As a live edge bathroom vanity set, the two pieces share grain and tone but sit on different supports, the wall-mounted top and the metal-legged shelf below it. The slim black metal legs on the lower piece add a quiet industrial contrast to the raw wood edge.

  • Finish: hand-finished to show the natural grain and warm texture, in four tones, Oak, Brown, Walnut and Black, at one price, only size changes the price
  • Size is the width and depth of the vanity top; the lower shelf is made in proportion to it, each slab about 2" thick with a burl edge that varies a little

The lower plank, sized to match

The plank shelf stands on four slim black metal legs, low enough to slide into a niche under the counter. It is made in proportion to the vanity top you choose, so a wider top brings a wider shelf.

Stack bath towels on it, or a basket of spare rolls.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

Are the colours exactly as shown in the photos?

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
Do you offer customisation?

Yes. Size, finish and fixing position can be adjusted on most pieces. Send us the dimensions you need and we will confirm the price and lead time before you order.
How should I care for the piece?

Dust with a dry, soft cloth and wipe spills away promptly. Avoid harsh cleaners, standing water, and long spells in direct sun or next to a heat source. A wood conditioner once or twice a year keeps the finish even.
