Our Minimalist Natural Edge Floating Vanity Shelf For Powder Room is a compact single slab built for small spaces, mounted straight to the wall with nothing below it to crowd the room. It is a floating vanity shelf with clean, modern minimalist lines everywhere except the one raw, natural edge left along the front.

Minimalist Lines Up Close

A single slab of solid wood carries a smooth, flat top on three straight sides, while the front edge is left raw and hand-textured, the only detail breaking the otherwise plain rectangle. There is no bracket, leg or cabinet below it; the slab reads as one continuous plane against the wall. Because the footprint is compact, from 16 to 48 inches wide, it suits a narrow powder room or guest bath where a modern floating vanity needs to stay out of the way. The restrained shape keeps the focus on the wood grain rather than on hardware or trim.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
