Product Details

One carved pedestal rises from a wide curved foot and swings up in a smooth S curve to carry a slim top with a gently shaped edge, in our Modern Curved Wood Console Table With Wave Pedestal Base For Hallway, a modern console table that cantilevers past its own base. The top reaches out beyond the pedestal, so the piece looks light while standing close to the wall.

Organic Modern Lines Up Close

The pedestal's curve runs in one unbroken sweep from the floor to the underside of the top, with grain that follows the bend rather than being pieced together. Because the top extends past the point where the pedestal meets it, the far end of the table has no support directly beneath it, which is what gives the piece its cantilevered look. The foot spreads wide at the base for stability, a wider stance than the slim top above it would suggest. Five widths, all 12 inches deep and 30 inches tall, share the same wave-pedestal shape.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
