Our Sculptural Porthole Bathroom Vanity With Round Open Wood Base is a live edge bathroom vanity whose base flows like a single carved form, pierced by two big round openings that make it look different from every angle.

Height is about 30" from the floor to the top surface; depth is 18" throughout the range.

The Sculptural Look

A low shelf for rolled towels sits where the openings meet near the floor, while a live-edge top lies across the top of the base. The rounded porthole cutouts let light move through the piece instead of a solid plinth underneath. The basin, faucet, mirror and decor pictured are styling only and not included; this listing is the wood vanity.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

It was so much fun to watch, and it made me appreciate the table and the work behind it even more. Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
