Our Rustic Floating Bathroom Vanity With Rough Split Edge mounts flat to the wall with a smooth top and a front edge left rough and split, textured from one end to the other. As a floating vanity shelf it suits a powder room or minimal bath that wants one simple natural feature.

Rustic Minimal Lines Up Close

The top stays smooth and level across its full width. Only the front edge is left raw, split and textured along its entire length rather than smoothed down. Mounted flush with no legs or bracketry in view, the slab reads as one plain plane broken by that single rough line, a quiet, solid wood floating vanity rather than a heavily carved piece.

Thickness: about 2" thick, the same for every size; every size is 18" deep, and because the front is a natural edge the depth varies a little along the piece. The slab hangs on concealed wall brackets that must be fixed into studs; drain and faucet cut-outs can be made to order. The basin, faucet, mirror and decor in the photos are styling only and are not included. Wipe standing water dry.

Smooth on top, split along the front

A wall slab with a rough split front edge

The counter surface is planed flat and sealed, while the front face stays rough, cracked and layered from one end to the other. Hung on a dark plaster wall, that broken edge catches the light like stone.

Concealed brackets fixed into studs carry the slab, so nothing touches the floor and the whole wall reads as open space. That helps in a small powder room where every inch of floor shows.

Drain and faucet cut-outs can be made to order to suit your basin.

About the split front edge

Will the splits on mine match the photo?
No. The edge comes from the log itself, so the cracks and texture fall in different places on every slab.
Is the stone basin part of the order?
No. You receive the wood slab only. Its flat top suits a vessel basin of your choice.
How should I care for the rough edge?
Wipe standing water off the top and the split face so moisture does not sit in the cracks.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

Are the colours exactly as shown in the photos?

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
Do you offer customisation?

Yes. Size, finish and fixing position can be adjusted on most pieces. Send us the dimensions you need and we will confirm the price and lead time before you order.
How should I care for the piece?
