A thick slab top cut in a rounded peanut shape sits over two carved root pedestals in our Handcrafted Live Edge Coffee Table With Peanut Shaped Top For Living Room. This live edge coffee table's pedestals twist down and spread into knotted root feet, giving it a cabin-by-the-fire look.

Rustic Root Lines Up Close

The top's peanut outline curves in at the center and swells at each end, with grain flowing smoothly around the shape rather than cutting across it. Underneath, the two pedestals are carved to look like tree roots, twisting and spreading as they near the floor in place of straight legs. The root-like base and rounded top work together to give this rustic wood coffee table a shape pulled from a tree stump coffee table tradition rather than built from flat lumber.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

It is absolutely gorgeous-even more beautiful than I imagined-and every detail reflects Sefa's incredible talent, care, and craftsmanship. One of the most special parts of this experience was being able to watch the entire process, from the original rough walnut planks, to seeing them shaped and sanded, and finally to seeing the finished table in my home. It was so much fun to watch, and it made me appreciate the table and the work behind it even more. This is not simply a piece of furniture-it is truly a one-of-a-kind work of art that feels personal and special. Our family will gather around it, enjoy it, and admire it for many years to come. Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
