Our Rustic Thick Slab Floating Bathroom Vanity With Raw Natural Edge is a floating slab with a raw, deeply textured natural edge that shows the outer layers of the log it came from. As a rustic wood bath vanity it is built to tuck neatly into the back and side wall of a powder room.

The Rustic Thick Slab Look

The front edge is left raw and deeply textured, with the outer layers of the log still visible rather than planed away. That texture gives the edge a thicker, more dimensional look than the slab's actual listed thickness. The shape is cut to sit flush against both the back wall and one side wall, so it fits cleanly into a corner powder room instead of floating free on an open wall. As a solid wood floating vanity, the raw edge is the one detail carrying all of its rustic character.

The front edge is raw and deeply textured, exposing the pale outer layers of the log against the warm smooth top. The edge profile drops away so the slab can look thicker than its listed 2".

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
