Our Scandinavian Solid Wood Makeup Vanity Desk With Tapered Legs For Bedroom stands on four tall, slim tapered legs, giving this mid century makeup vanity the light, airy profile that fits a small bedroom.

Mid Century Form And Detail

The top flares softly at each end over an apron with two drawers, while the tapered legs keep the overall footprint slim and let daylight pass underneath. The rounded rectangle shape and slim legs are a clear nod to mid century lines rather than a boxy, heavy build.

  • Wood: solid natural wood, hand-finished to order
  • Finish: hand-finished to show the natural grain and warm texture; available in four tones, Oak, Brown, Walnut and Black, at one price, only size changes the price
  • Sizes run 47" to 71" wide and 18" deep; the 71" size is 32" high, the others 30"

The top lifts gently at each end like the tips of a wing, and four tall tapered legs angle out slightly as they meet the floor. Under the top, an apron holds two drawers with small pulls.

With so much open space underneath, the desk takes up little visual room beside a bed.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
Do you offer customisation?

Yes. Size, finish and fixing position can be adjusted on most pieces. Send us the dimensions you need and we will confirm the price and lead time before you order.
How should I care for the piece?
