Product Details

One carved pedestal twists and swells from a wide, flared foot up to a live-edge top in our Contemporary Console Table With Carved Organic Pedestal For Bedroom, set off-center so one end of the top reaches out over open floor. As a modern wood console table it shows its grain all the way round the pedestal rather than hiding a flat back. It suits a bedroom wall as easily as a foyer.

The Organic Modern Look

The single pedestal flares wide at the foot, then twists and narrows as it rises to meet the underside of the top, with smooth, continuous surfaces on every side. Because the pedestal sits off-center, one end of the top floats out over open floor, giving this carved console table an asymmetric, light-footed look. The live edge along the top keeps its natural, uneven line rather than a straight cut. Grain shows all the way around the base, so there is no flat or hidden side.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

It was so much fun to watch, and it made me appreciate the table and the work behind it even more. Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
