Our Sculptural Oval Coffee Table With Arched Pedestal Base For Living Room carries a long oval top on two carved pedestals, each one flared and opened by an arched cutout, for a solid wood oval coffee table that reads as sculpture first.

Organic Modern Lines Up Close

The oval top has a smooth, rounded edge that echoes the curves below it. Two pedestals support the top, each flaring outward as it reaches the floor and opened through the middle by a tall arched cutout. The arches let the base feel light from every angle, rather than heavy or blocky, even on the largest sizes. Carved from solid wood and finished by hand, every grain line and knot runs naturally through the curves, so no two pedestals read exactly the same. This oval wood coffee table reads as a modern coffee table even at its largest sizes.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

It was so much fun to watch, and it made me appreciate the table and the work behind it even more. Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
Do you offer customisation?

Yes. Size, finish and fixing position can be adjusted on most pieces. Send us the dimensions you need and we will confirm the price and lead time before you order.
