Our Statement Live Edge Slab Bed Frame With Asymmetric Headboard For Bedroom is built around a single oversized slab with its bark line and growth rings left on show. As a live edge bed frame it rises low on one side and sweeps high on the other, so the headboard never reads as a simple rectangle. A low platform with its own live-edge rail sits beneath it on short legs, keeping the slab as the clear focus.

The Rustic Live Edge Look

The headboard slab is cut so its height changes across the width, climbing from a low point to a tall peak and keeping the uneven bark edge instead of trimming it square. That asymmetry, paired with the visible growth rings, is what reads as rustic rather than simply decorative. Below it, a low platform continues the theme with its own live-edge side rail, resting on short legs that keep the frame close to the floor. Nothing about the base competes with the slab, which is left to do all of the visual work.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
Do you offer customisation?
