A thick slab with raw, wavy edges spans the wall as the counter in our Organic Floating Bathroom Vanity With Lower Open Shelf. It is a rustic bathroom vanity built around open, uneven grain rather than a trimmed, uniform edge.

Shape And Rustic Raw Edge Character

The live edge along the front rolls in deep waves rather than a gentle curve, left as the wood grew rather than smoothed down. Grain runs open and wide across the top, giving the slab a loose, organic texture end to end. As a floating vanity shelf, the thickness carries the whole look: nothing is trimmed thin or squared off, true to a live edge bathroom vanity. A single vessel basin completes it.

Thickness: about 2" thick, the same for every size; every size is 18" deep, and because the front is a natural edge the depth varies a little along the piece. The slab hangs on concealed wall brackets that must be fixed into studs; drain and faucet cut-outs can be made to order.

What you get: ONE solid wood slab in the size you choose. The photos show two slabs stacked - a counter on top and a towel shelf below; to build that two-tier look, order a second slab (same or smaller size) as a separate item. The basin, faucet, mirror and decor in the photos are styling only and are not included. Wipe standing water dry.

Each order is ONE solid wood slab in your chosen size, about 2" thick and 18" deep. To build the counter-and-towel-shelf setup in the photos, add a second slab, the same size or smaller, as a separate item.

The raw edge waves in and out along the front, so each slab has its own outline.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

Are the colours exactly as shown in the photos?

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.
Does the item require assembly?

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?

All timber is kiln dried and treated before finishing, which removes moisture and any insects. Pieces are then sealed with a protective finish.
Do you offer customisation?

Yes. Size, finish and fixing position can be adjusted on most pieces. Send us the dimensions you need and we will confirm the price and lead time before you order.
How should I care for the piece?
