A long slab with a flat top and a natural underside that swells and dips along its length hangs on the wall in our Minimalist Live Edge Floating Bathroom Vanity With Slim Slab Top. It is a solid wood floating vanity built to sit warm and simple against stone or concrete tile.

The Modern Minimalist Look

The top surface stays flat and level for the basin, while the underside is left natural, swelling and dipping along the length instead of running perfectly straight. That contrast, a clean flat plane above and a soft organic line below, keeps the piece reading as a modern floating vanity rather than a full rustic slab. The top is flat and calm. Underneath, the natural edge swells and dips along the full length of the slab, so from the side it looks like a piece of driftwood laid along the wall.

The seller was very communicative throughout the entire process. They built the entire shelf, sent a picture, and allowed us to make modifications such as adding branches and leaves, so that we were perfectly happy with the design. The whole process was fairly quick and everything arrived well packaged. There is some assembly required, the directions are very clear, but you are essentially building a tree branch by branch and trying to mount the shelves level and keep everything secure as you go along. Overall extremely happy with the final product. Such a unique item to have in our home!

Very close, but not identical. Every piece is made from solid timber, so grain and tone vary from one item to the next — that variation is the point of a natural material rather than a fault. Screens differ too, so treat the photos as a guide.

Most items arrive ready to use. Larger shelving and tables ship in a few parts with the fixings and instructions included; assembly is straightforward and needs no special tools.
How is the timber treated?
